For the second May in a row, we bring you Murder, Mystery, Mayhem! This year’s installment find us in a better mood toward the reading material with “The Good Asian” Volumes 1 and 2. We came for the graphic novels, but stayed for the historical notes at the end.

Chapter 32 – Matilda

Summary

In this chapter, we revisit one of our favorite books of all time: Matilda by Roald Dahl and compare and contrast it to the new Netflix musical adaptation of the same name. We also discuss the news about new printings of Dahl’s works being slightly edited for newer generations of readers. To finish, we talk about this year’s Newbery Award winner: Freewater by Amina Luqman-Dawson. And we did all this the morning the Daylight Savings began, so if we sound tired – you’ll know why.

Chapter 31 – Galentine’s Day

Summary

In this chapter of Sibling Library we take on the romance genre and discuss It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. We also find out what kind of romance book each of us would be from this quiz. Next month we will be reading Matilda  by Roald Dahl and comparing it to the new Netflix musical of the same name.
